On some frontlines, the construction of fortifications is at 92-98% completion. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in an interview with the Unified News telethon.
The Head of State noted that three lines of defense are being erected even where there is no active combat. Regardless of the direction, fortifications are being built to the same standards. This includes Chernihiv region, where President Zelenskyy spoke with Ukrainian journalists. He emphasized that this direction is not only heroic but also strategic.
"What we are building on the front lines is no secret. This should be known to both Russians and Belarusians or Russians on the territory of Belarus. Yes, there are defense barriers here. Yes, there will be three powerful lines of defense. There are troops here. There are 'dragon's teeth' and anti-tank ditches – it is no secret. Thanks to modern technology, all of this is present, but there is no need to conceal it because they must know that there will be resistance," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President of Ukraine stressed that all work on erecting fortifications on the most dangerous sections of the border must be completed within a few months. However, the closer to combat, the faster the construction progresses.
