The meeting in Malta should become a platform for elaborating specific solutions aimed at achieving a sustainable and just peace for Ukraine – Andriy Yermak

On the President of Ukraine's instruction, on October 28-29 in Malta, the third meeting on the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula at the level of national security and foreign policy advisors will be held. The event is intended to serve as a platform for developing concrete solutions to achieve a sustainable and just peace, as well as a powerful signal of support for Ukraine from the world's nations. This was announced by Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak during the Unified News nationwide telethon.

He said that over 60 representatives from around the world have already confirmed their participation in the Malta meeting.

"I have optimistic expectations for this meeting because it will be very concrete. We will discuss the results of the work of the five working groups that were created based on the first five points of President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula. They include not only Ukrainian officials but also representatives from various countries, not only from Europe but also from Latin America, Asia, and Africa," the Head of the President's Office said.

Andriy Yermak said that the meeting will address the points of the Peace Formula regarding food, energy, and nuclear security, humanitarian issues, including the return of Ukrainian military personnel and abducted children, as well as the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity.

The Head of the President's Office emphasized the importance of specific efforts that will not only lead to a just peace, the return of our territories and citizens but also enable us to overcome the crises created as a result of this war.

"If our experience is successful, it can become an international mechanism for addressing these crises in the future, wherever they may arise. I expect a very specific conversation, a specific dialogue," Andriy Yermak said.

He stressed that the meeting in Malta will send a powerful signal of unity among partner countries in supporting Ukraine.

"After the first summit at the leader level, we anticipate that urgent summits and conferences will be held, each focusing on specific aspects. There is already progress in working groups today, so these summits should result in specific decisions," the Head of the President's Office said.

Andriy Yermak noted that the Peace Formula summit at the level of leaders of states should take place as soon as possible.

The Head of the President's Office emphasized that meetings with representatives of diplomatic institutions where the points of the Ukrainian Peace Formula are discussed provide an opportunity to convey the truth about Russian aggression in Ukraine to the world. According to him, it is necessary to constantly remind the world about our struggle and the need to support the Ukrainian state.

"There are many countries that know very little about Ukraine, which have lived under the pressure of Russian propaganda for quite some time and still hear Russian narratives and fakes today. That's why our work never stops for a second. But there's still much more to be done. Therefore, the President has given a clear task to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the President's Office, and all officials that today we must quickly build relationships with countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. For us, the most important thing is for Ukraine to remain in the spotlight of the international community until a lasting and just peace is achieved," Andriy Yermak said.
