President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the discussion of the development prospects and the environmental situation in Kryvyi Rih.
"Life in Ukraine should be comfortable, safe and modern. Today I am in Kryvyi Rih, where we want to see such a life. We want it and we are already doing it," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The Head of State noted that new roads are being built around Kryvyi Rih, connecting the city with other regions.
"Today I saw that there are roads Kryvyi Rih - Kropyvnytskyi, Kryvyi Rih - Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih - Mykolaiv. There is one big road left - to Zaporizhzhia. Next year we will finish this road. This is the connection of our beautiful city with other beautiful cities of Ukraine," the President said.
He stressed that the authorities of Kryvyi Rih should work together with the central government for the development of the city.
The participants of the meeting discussed the prospects for the development of Kryvyi Rih.
Dmytro Shevchyk, a candidate for the post of Kryvyi Rih mayor, stressed that Kryvyi Rih should become a city that attracts young people.
"We really want our city to be beautiful, young, something that young people do not want to leave, and that will be enjoyed by the older generation," Dmytro Shevchyk said.
A number of infrastructure projects planned to be implemented in Kryvyi Rih were discussed. In particular, the construction of new roads around the city within the Large Construction program. The parties emphasized the need to create new parks in each district of the city, as well as to develop sports and cycling infrastructure.
The President inquired about the prospects for the development of a high-speed tram in Kryvyi Rih.
Oleksandr Veshnyakov, head of Dmytro Shevchyk’s campaign headquarters, noted that the city’s development program envisages the construction of both new high-speed tram stations and a new tram line that will connect the areas of the North and South mining and processing plants.
