Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha had a phone call with Celso Amorim, Special Advisor on Foreign Policy to the newly elected President of Brazil Lula da Silva.
The parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and key areas of its development.
"Relations with Brazil are extremely important for us. We are interested in intensifying bilateral dialogue," the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office emphasized.
Andriy Sybiha noted the special attention that Ukraine pays to developing cooperation with Brazil, as evidenced, in particular, by the participation of First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko in the inauguration ceremony of President Lula da Silva on January 1, 2023. The possibility of a meeting between the high representative of Ukraine and the President of Brazil was positively assessed, the details of which were informed to the Head of State.
The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office thanked Brazil for its continued support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty and condemnation of Russian aggression against our country, and presented to Celso Amorim the Ukrainian Peace Formula initiated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Andriy Sybiha invited Brazil to join its implementation.
During the conversation, the parties separately raised a number of important issues of the international agenda, in particular in the context of cooperation on multilateral platforms.
