Any measures related to the prevention of coronavirus infection should not affect the high level of readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to carry out the tasks assigned to them. This was emphasized by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conference call with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and commanders of the Armed Forces.

The meeting was focused on preventing the spread of COVID-19 disease and ensuring Ukraine's defense capability. The Head of State heard the information about the measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the troops, as well as about the participation of the military in the elimination of the consequences of an emergency.

“We will do our best to keep our military healthy. This is our top priority. However, all measures taken against coronavirus should not affect the combat readiness of our troops. Everything is simple here: they protect us and we protect them,” the President said.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak assured that the Armed Forces are ready to repel the aggressor and defend Ukraine. The key problems with the logistics were heard and all the necessary instructions were given. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran reported that the situation is controlled as the priority for the Ministry of Defense is human centric approach and concern for the adequate and full support of every soldier of the Armed Forces.
