With the participation of Volodymyr Zelenskyy an agreement was signed between Ukreximbank and Ukravtodor to provide financing for road upgrading

With the participation of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a solemn signing of an agreement between Ukreximbank JSC and the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) was held to provide the first tranche of financing for the reconstruction of roads in the amount of UAH 5.782 billion. The total amount of financing will be UAH 19.3 billion.

“Despite the quarantine measures in our country, the most important thing is that the state works together with the banking sector and construction companies to build kilometers of roads and “stitch” our country! As I said, roads, bridges are a priority,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said and thanked all the participants.

The Head of State emphasized that the Great Construction program is an image of Ukraine as a country with modern and high-quality roads that can be traveled.

The President also noted that the program promotes job creation.

The Head of the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov thanked the President, the Government and the Parliament for important and timely decisions, which enabled Ukravtodor to attract credit funds under state guarantees.

“We, as a state bank, support the Great Construction. With the signing of the agreement Ukravtodor will receive the first tranche in the amount of UAH 5.782 billion at a rate of 10.5% per annum, which is 2% lower than predicted by the Cabinet of Ministers,” Yevhen Metzger, Chairman of the Board of Ukreximbank JSC noted.

He informed that Ukreximbank was ready to become a financial partner of the Great Construction and to provide financial and service support to all companies, including contractors, who will be involved in the construction of the objects of this program.

In total, in 2020 it is planned to repair and construct more than 4 thousand km of roads of national importance.
