The units of the National Police, along with all other branches of our Defense and Security Forces, defend Ukraine in battles against the occupier; they also ensure the normality of life in Ukrainian communities.
"The National Police evacuates our people from the frontline towns and villages and helps those caught in Russian shelling. Police officers always arrive at the sites of Russian missile and drone strikes; they are always among the first to help all the victims," the President noted.
In particular, during the full-scale war, the White Angels unit of the National Police of Ukraine has already rescued more than 10,000 families, almost 2,500 children, from the most dangerous areas near the frontline.
More than 850 officers of the National Police of Ukraine have been honored with state awards during the full-scale war. Today, Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented 20 National Police officers with state awards: the Orders "For Courage", II and III classes, of Princess Olga, III class, and of Danylo Halytskyi.
