On the initiative of Olena Zelenska, more than $6.4 million was raised for ambulances that will help save the seriously injured

On the initiative of the wife of the President of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, $6.4 million was raised for class C ambulances. The fundraising campaign was announced on the eve of the second Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, which was dedicated to the post-war restoration of human capital in Ukraine.

Class C ambulances are equipped with everything necessary to quickly and safely transport the seriously injured to the hospital even in off-road conditions: oxygen tanks, cardiac monitors and defibrillators, electrocardiographs and ventilators.

"One of the key tasks of the Summit was to raise funds for ambulances. We used this platform to address people from all over the world and invite them to join the fundraising. Our appeal was backed by the participation of other first ladies and influential speakers, for which I am very grateful. Together, we managed to raise more than $6.4 million," said Olena Zelenska.

The fundraising took place through the United24 platform. Donations were received from 55 countries. As of September 12, using part of the funds raised, SE "Medical Purchases of Ukraine" purchased 82 ambulances. The first 18 ambulances have already been transferred to the Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv and Rivne regions.
