President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that during the phone talk with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping the issues of implementing the Ukrainian Peace Formula, the return of deported Ukrainian children from Russia, the release of prisoners, and ensuring the operation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative were discussed. The Head of State said this during a meeting with media representatives following the negotiations with President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová, and President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel in Kyiv.
Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is determined to involve as many states as possible in implementing the proposed Peace Formula to put pressure on the aggressor country.
"So that as many countries as possible were involved in this formula or in the platform where our formula is discussed, and they could then put pressure on the Russian Federation to restore peace, restore our territorial integrity," the President said.
The Head of State said that during the phone talk, the need to restore the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within the borders of 1991 and the importance of observing the UN Charter were discussed.
"We talked about all this and heard respect for all these principles. I believe that it is very important," Zelenskyy said.
The leaders of Ukraine and China also discussed the return of Ukrainian prisoners and almost 20,000 children deported by the Russian occupiers.
"There are moments when we must involve everyone we can, different countries so that they put pressure on the aggressor and terrorist – the Russian Federation, which kidnapped so many of our children," the President said.
According to the Head of State, during the phone talk with Xi Jinping, a threat of blocking the Black Sea grain corridor was discussed.
"Before the war, we were probably the largest grain exporter to China. And that's why Russia when it blocks it... It seems to me that all interested countries should put pressure on the Russian Federation so that there is no blocking of this corridor," he said.
In addition, during the conversation with the President of the People's Republic of China, the President emphasized the inadmissibility of the supply of weapons to the aggressor country by any country in the world.
"Ukraine would like all states to understand the risks of supplying any type of weapons to the Russian Federation. I heard a positive answer in this respect," Zelenskyy said.
