United News is one of the key stages in the history of invincibility of our state – President during the meeting with representatives of the telethon

On the occasion of the Day of Radio, Television and Communication Workers, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held an online meeting with representatives of Ukrainian media involved in the United News telethon.

The Head of State congratulated the media on the holiday and thanked them for their difficult and very important work, which can be dangerous.

"I believe that United News is one of the key projects that you have created and one of the key stages in the history of the invincibility of our state, one of the key factors in the de-occupation of the territories that have been seized since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. You helped people to unite – with your unity, your work," he said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that today it is important not to lose what has been achieved and to maintain a strong morale in order to preserve Ukraine's internal strength.

"This is very important for our people, for the purity of information, the fight against disinformation and any fakes," the President is convinced.

According to the Head of State, the media today have the greatest impact on the unity of society. The media provide opportunities for an open dialogue with citizens and responsible discussion of problematic issues that people are currently concerned about.

"We must help people fight for Ukraine, stay in Ukraine, work, and think about the future," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President emphasized the importance of spreading information about Ukraine's successes in this war and stories about the heroism and fight of Ukrainians for their freedom as widely as possible.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as President, he uses all the tools, including Western media platforms, to make Ukraine heard and seen abroad, so that our country is not forgotten and continues to be helped.

The parties also touched upon the issue of difficulties in the work of correspondents at the frontline. The President discussed possible formats of work with journalists that would allow maximum coverage of the situation on the battlefield and at the same time meet the requirements of security and non-disclosure of sensitive information.

"I am very interested in your work. Because I believe that the only thing that can pierce the veil of news from the Middle East today, that can interest the world, is to demonstrate what is happening on the battlefield. Because it will be unique content," he said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that he highly appreciates the work of those who are currently working in Ukraine, both on and off camera.

"Thank you for your work. I have noted the pressing issues you raise. We will try to solve them. Information is very important today," the Head of State summarized.
