If we manage to pass Easter so that fewer people get infected, we can talk about the improvement of the situation - President

The readiness of hospitals for the treatment of patients with coronavirus and the fulfillment of the protocol of treatment will be checked in the regions. This was discussed at a traditional meeting chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on combating coronavirus.

According to Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov, two commissions - virologists and pulmonologists - will check the status of medical supplies of hospitals in the regions and the readiness of health workers to receive patients. Each fatal case will be examined in detail to find out the causes, especially in the regions where the death toll is too high.

“In fact, in some regions the death toll is much higher than in others. This is alarming. Perhaps our doctors in the regions need help,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

At the same time, the parties noted a decline in COVID-19 infection in the Ternopil region, one of the leaders in the number of coronavirus cases.

“If we manage to pass Easter so that there are no crowds and fewer people get infected, we can talk about the improvement of the situation in Ukraine. Until then, every Ukrainian should be aware of the importance of quarantine,” the President stressed.
