President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that he strives to make qualitative changes in the country and uses all his opportunities for this, including the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council. He told about it in an interview to VIP with Natalia Moseychuk program on 1+1 TV channel.
"I always said that I came to change the country, and this is absolutely true… If I have to reach agreements with everyone, honestly, it’s not OK for me. I am a completely different person," the Head of State said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that although de jure in Ukraine it is a parliamentary-presidential form of government, de facto it is presidential-parliamentary. After all, Ukrainians, when electing the President, want him to be responsible for everything, no matter what.
According to him, the events in Ukraine sometimes require a quick reaction, and the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council have become a tool for such a response.
"We came to change the country, so let's change it. Therefore, I use all I have at hand - all the power, all my weapons, and the National Security and Defense Council is one of these weapons," the President summed up.
