The First Lady noted the importance of Mariam Almheiri’s visit and thanked the UAE government and President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for their support: in the spring, the Emirati government approved a charitable contribution of $4 million for the construction of ergonomic modern houses with shelters for large foster families (so-called FTCHs) as part of the Address of Childhood project by the Olena Zelenska Foundation.

During the meeting, the President's wife thanked the Prime Minister of Canada for supporting Ukraine, in particular for temporary shelter for more than 200,000 Ukrainians and humanitarian aid: funds for the supply of more than 1,250 generators, support for the Kyiv energy system, and assistance with demining.

On the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, which is marked annually on June 4, a monument to children killed because of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation was unveiled in the city with the assistance of the Office of the First Lady, the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov, volunteers and the public.

UNICEF, together with Ukrzaliznytsia, opened the largest children's space Spilno (Together) at the Kyiv Central Train Station. It is adapted for a comfortable stay for parents with children. It has booths for breastfeeding and a library. And it also has a sports and game area, a football corner, and a full-blown science museum with railway exhibits.

Foster families and family-type children's homes from all over Ukraine, representatives of the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament’s Commissioner for Human Rights, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science, and UNICEF joined the event via video link.

In her video address to the participants of the event, Olena Zelenska noted that right now Ukraine and Poland are creating a history that will be written about in books.

Olena Zelenska thanked the government of the Republic of Korea for supporting the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and condemning the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia.

The conference serves as a platform for many well-known international business and entrepreneurship experts, representatives of global business and financial institutions to speak and exchange views. This year's 14th event is titled "Asian Leadership. The Era of Upheaval: The Road to Collaboration and Innovation" and is dedicated, in particular, to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
