During her visit to New York, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in the HeForShe global summit and the Women in Conflict forum within the 77th session of the UN General Assembly. The President's wife spoke about the situation of Ukrainian women in wartime conditions.

During a meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, in which Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal also took part, the First Lady thanked António Guterres for his personal efforts and the efforts of the leadership of the UN Secretariat and the entire free democratic world, which today supports and helps the Ukrainian people.

In particular, she met with First Lady of Poland Agata Kornhauser-Duda and First Lady of Lithuania Diana Nausėdienė within the Lublin Triangle.

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska continues video conversations with representatives of the countries that joined this year's Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen. Last week, she talked to the wives of the heads of state and government of Poland, Germany, Ecuador and Greece.

During a visit to Strasbourg, First Lady Olena Zelenska held a meeting with Vice-President of the European Commission for Promoting the European Way of Life Margaritis Schinas and European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakides. The President's wife thanked them for their recent visit to Ukraine.

Olena Zelenska personally met with the President of the European Commission. The First Lady thanked her for the invitation and solidarity with Ukraine in the fight against the Russian invaders.

The fundraising campaign was announced on the eve of the second Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, which was dedicated to the post-war restoration of human capital in Ukraine.

Ukrainian Bookshelf opens in 18 countries

Seven more countries have joined the Ukrainian Bookshelf project, which provides for the distribution of Ukrainian literature in the original language and its translations in the world's leading libraries. These are Jordan, Croatia, Lebanon, Japan, Spain, Belgium and Albania.
