The Head of State thanked Romania for its significant assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed the Romanian President about the Russian shelling of the Dniester hydroelectric power station and pointed to potential threats to Moldova.
The leaders discussed cooperation in the defense sector. The Ukrainian President stressed the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense system to ensure a reliable sky shield.
The Head of State praised Romania's consistent support for Ukraine on its way to joining the EU and NATO.
The Presidents discussed the functioning of Ukraine's export corridor with Romania and Moldova and the development of infrastructure and logistic routes on their common border.
"We appreciate Romania's position on the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products. In the context of Russia's aggression, the Ukrainian-Romanian partnership makes a significant contribution to global food security," emphasized Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The parties also discussed enhancing trilateral cooperation between Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova.
