The First Lady of Guatemala, Lucrecia Peinado, will take part in the 4th Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen to be held in Kyiv this September. She announced this to the wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, during a video conversation.
The First Lady of Ukraine thanked Lucrecia Peinado for Guatemala's cooperation and support for our country since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. In particular, Guatemala joined the countries participating in the Crimea Platform, supported all UN General Assembly resolutions on Ukraine and co-authored some of them, participated in the Inaugural Peace Summit and signed its Communiqué.
"Mrs. Peinado is an experienced specialist in health and development projects, having worked in these areas all her life. Therefore, her experience will now strengthen the Summit's projects. The focus of this year's Summit is child safety. Health – both physical and mental – is also one of the dimensions of that safety. I am sure that, as always, we will not only discuss this, but also take many joint steps to protect children, no matter what countries they are in," Olena Zelenska said.
The main topics of the 4th Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen are the safety of children during military conflicts, in the family, at school, and on the Internet.
