In Lisbon, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
The Ukrainian Head of State thanked for the assistance of Portugal in countering Russian armed aggression and for the support to Ukrainian citizens who have found shelter in this country.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised the allocation of €100 million for the procurement of artillery shells for our country under the initiative of the Czech Republic and the participation of Portugal in the training of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The two leaders also discussed preparations for the Global Peace Summit and emphasized the need for the widest possible representation of all continents at the event.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa paid special attention to Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO. The President of Ukraine expressed his gratitude for the support of our country on this path.
