In Volyn, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with manufacturers in the framework of the Made in Ukraine economic platform.
"I want to thank you for preserving the jobs, for staying in Ukraine, for supporting the Ukrainian economy, and for being honest taxpayers. This is very important for the state’s life and development," he said.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to energy and security issues in the region. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that while the war continues, the situation in the energy sector will not be simple, but the government is doing everything possible to improve it.
The President also emphasized that the enemy is trying to sow panic in the border regions and urged people to trust only Ukrainian official sources of information.
First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko explained that this year, under the Made in Ukraine platform, entrepreneurs in Volyn will be able to receive UAH 1.6 billion. This includes grants, loan programs, compensation for domestic agricultural machinery, and over UAH 20 million in subsidies for the purchase of school buses produced in the region.
"Supporting domestic manufacturers is now a matter of our security, and not just economic one. Up to 40% of the purchase of Ukrainian goods returns to Ukrainians in the form of salaries, taxes, and fees. Thanks to business, we have the resources to support our security and defense sector," noted Yuliia Svyrydenko.
The President also visited a light industry enterprise specializing in textile manufacturing.
Last year, this enterprise was among the top five taxpayers to the local budget and ranked in the top three most efficient enterprises in its industry.
The company's director demonstrated to Volodymyr Zelenskyy the production process and explained where the products are marketed. The Head of State spoke with the company's employees and thanked them for their work.
