President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko within the Second Forum of the Regions of Ukraine and Belarus in Zhytomyr.
The agenda of relations between the two countries was defined during the conversation of the heads of state in the narrow circle.
“We understand each other. I think our people are friendly, mentally close. I am proud and I am confident that every Ukrainian is proud that we have such good neighbors and relations,” the President of Ukraine said at the beginning of the meeting.
Alexander Lukashenko, for his part, noted that they were meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy face-to-face to once again "synchronise watches" and discuss the agenda.
"I am sure that everything we agree on will be fulfilled," the President of Belarus said.
He also assured Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Ukraine would never have problems at the Belarusian border.
"You have never had any problems from the territory of Belarus and with Belarus, you will never have them. We will always be the most kind and reliable of your supporters, partners,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
On October 4, negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and Belarus under the chairmanship of the heads of state are also scheduled.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Alexander Lukashenko will deliver speeches in the final part of the Second Forum of the Regions of Ukraine and Belarus.
After that, the ceremony of signing bilateral documents will take place.
In addition, the Presidents of Ukraine and Belarus will got acquainted with the large-sized agricultural machinery exhibition.
