Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the heads of higher education institutions of the Lviv region

During a working trip to the Lviv region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with rectors and representatives of higher education institutions in the region.

During the conversation, the parties raised the issue of creating a National Fund of Innovative Educational Technologies, which on a grant basis would contribute to the development and support of innovative technologies and their implementation in the educational process. This will allow using the experience and achievements of the best higher education institutions and will contribute to the growth of the level of education.

The President of Ukraine noted that in today's world, which is changing very quickly and where information is no less rapidly becoming obsolete, universities cannot remain the same as they were 20 or 30 years ago. We need new approaches, digitization, willingness to work with people who think much faster than previous generations.

Therefore, according to the Head of State, innovations in education are really necessary.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the coronavirus pandemic has created a number of new, previously unprecedented challenges for Ukrainian education. Therefore, it is necessary to find all opportunities to work in such conditions, teach students, keep their attention and interest.

According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, this can be achieved if the state acts together with representatives of our universities, academies and institutes.

The President is confident that the state, together with local authorities and university administrations, should work to improve the material and technical base of Ukrainian universities and create comfortable living and studying conditions for students.
