President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden Ann Linde who is on a working visit to Ukraine.
The President noted the attention that the Swedish presidency of the OSCE pays to the issue of restoring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and a peaceful settlement in the east of our state.
"We have a meeting in Kyiv for the second time this year. The trip you made to the east of Ukraine these days is important,” the President said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ann Linde discussed the security situation in the east and near the borders of Ukraine.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the high level of military threat to our state. Ways to strengthen security in the Black Sea region were also discussed.
The Head of State noted that the Trilateral Contact Group should resume full-fledged work.
The President stressed the importance of the OSCE SMM situation monitoring along the temporarily uncontrolled part of the Ukrainian-Russian border, in the temporarily occupied Crimea and in the Azov-Black Sea region.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the Swedish side for the decision to provide the original Constitution of Hetman Pylyp Orlyk for a temporary presentation in Kyiv.
"For the first time in more than 300 years, this attribute of our statehood will be in Ukraine again. This is an extremely friendly gesture of Sweden, which we very much appreciate," the President said.
The President of Ukraine noted the importance of the Swedish side's participation in the inaugural summit of the Crimean Platform at a high level.
