As part of his participation in the Vilnius NATO Summit, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Acting Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.
The Head of State thanked for the leadership of the Netherlands in the adoption of key decisions by the Allies in support of Ukraine, particularly on the creation of an aviation coalition.
During the tete-a-tete and expanded format talks, the parties confirmed the start of a training mission for Ukrainian pilots on F-16 aircraft in August this year and discussed the prospects of attracting new partners to the fighter jet coalition.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Rutte also discussed other areas of cooperation in the defense sector, including strengthening Ukraine's air defense.
The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude for the political support of the Netherlands in the preparation for the NATO Summit in Vilnius and the consolidation of the Allies' support for Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration.
