President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented a number of projects that will be implemented in Ukraine with the involvement of foreign business under personal guarantees of protection of investments by the Head of State.
“We have something to offer you. These are a series of projects to which, under my personal protection guarantees, I invite foreign business,” the Head of State said during a speech at the 16th annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy held at the Mystetskyi Arsenal in Kyiv.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that his priorities were energy sphere, infrastructure, transparent land circulation. He also invited the attendees to the investment forum in Mariupol that will take place in October and announced several projects.
The first is an irrigation project in the southern regions of the country, in particular in the Kherson region. "The ambitious task is to transform desert land into fertile land," the Head of State explained.
The second project is an inter-university IT cluster in Kharkiv.
Also, Volodymyr Zelenskyy intends to promote the establishment of a film production center in Kyiv. "Yesterday, the Verkhovna Rada passed a law on assistance to the film industry, on rebate, and we invite everyone to make sure that filming in Ukraine is not worse than in Budapest or Poland, we have a very beautiful country," the President said.
The next project is a new resort on the Black Sea coast. "It is necessary to clarify that this is a brand new Ukrainian city from scratch," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Another project is a new ski resort. “The Carpathians are large, and we have a huge potential to become Eastern European Alps. We are currently considering a project in Slavske and Borzhava,” the President said.
Impact investing will also be promoted in Ukraine. “The project at the intersection of art, education and business. The prototype of economic reboot in all regions of Ukraine,” the Head of State explained. In addition, we plan to develop Khortytsia Island in Zaporizhzhia as the heart of the Cossacks and the center of strength of the Ukrainian national spirit.
The next project is a large amusement park for guests from Eastern and Central Europe.
