Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the Constitutional Court to adopt a decision they will not be ashamed of in front of Ukrainians

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered a speech at the session of the Grand Chamber of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, which is currently considering a case concerning the compliance of the Presidential Decree "On Early Termination of the Powers of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Appointment of Early Elections" with the Basic Law.

The Head of State stressed that the level of Ukrainians’ trust in the Parliament was extremely low.

"The people of Ukraine applaud the decision to dissolve the Verkhovna Rada. People are convinced that an attempt to challenge the decree is an attempt of people’s deputies to hold down their seats, their immunity and the possibility of enrichment for a few months," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.

He also called on the Court to adopt a decision they will not be ashamed of in front of Ukrainians.

"The Decree complies with the letter of the law. Our legal position is undeniable and impeccable," the Head of State added.

After the speech, the President left the hall, noting that he did not want to give reasons to say that the decision of the Court was taken under pressure.
