Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged the investors not to “sleep through” Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that many well-known stories of success had begun with skepticism and short-sightedness. He called on the investors not to miss the opportunity to invest in the country of opportunities - Ukraine.

"You have definitely heard of businessmen who did not believe in Google or missed the opportunity to buy WhatsApp for a song. Ukraine is a country of opportunities. And today they are knocking on your door. But as they say, opportunity never knocks twice. So do not miss the opportunity, please. Do not “sleep through” Ukraine," the President urged during a speech at the RE: THINK. Invest in Ukraine Forum in Mariupol.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine was currently at the crossroads where despondency would either destroy our country or make it strong. He recalled the stories of many successful countries that were once on the verge of extinction, considered backward and hopeless.

“We are Apple starting its journey in the garage. Lance Armstrong, who faced a horrible diagnosis. But we know for sure that the darkest night is always superseded by a very bright dawn,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The President stressed that Ukraine was becoming a stable and predictable market with significant business expansion opportunities. In addition, our country has favorable climatic conditions, favorable geographical location, inexhaustible agricultural and industrial potential, and Ukrainians are hardworking and talented. "All this is our answer to one question: Why should you invest in Ukraine?” he noted.

The President believes the RE: THINK. Invest in Ukraine Forum is the beginning of a new investment stage in the history of the Ukrainian state. He announced the presentation of an "investment menu" - a series of landmark projects - "magnets". “The state will provide their full support at the level of the President and the Prime Minister, protect against corruption and provide PR at the state level. My goal is to make Ukraine appear in the world textbooks alongside the cases of Japan, South Korea and Singapore,” the Head of State emphasized.
