On July 7, during a working visit to Luhansk region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced new Luhansk RSA Head Vitaliy Komarnytskyi and presented him a certificate of the region's head. According to the Head of State, the mission of the region’s head is to find opportunities to rebuild Luhansk region.

"For our country, an important priority is the end of the war. In parallel, you can find opportunities to rebuild Donbas. We flew over the region with Mr. Donald Tusk (President of the European Council - ed.) and saw the ruined houses, the absence of roads. I think that this is not only because of the war, but also because nobody cares. Congratulations. We have high hopes for you," he said.

For his part, Vitaliy Komarnytskyi thanked for the trust. He also noted that it was possible to realize the tasks set.

"I know the mood of people and the problems in the region. I know that people here want to work. I think that the tasks facing Luhansk region can be implemented with your help and with the help of international partners. We need to talk less and work harder," he said.
