President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy conveyed words of support to the family of Serhiy Tserusha, pupil killed in Volovets, Zakarpattia region. The rescuers found the body of the boy today. The day before, he went to see the rising of water in the Vecha River and was swept by the flow.
“I am also a father and I understand what a grief it is for the family. My condolences to the parents,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The Head of State also expressed condolences over the death of Borys Kohuch from Ivano-Frankivsk region. On May 20, 62-year-old man lost his footing clearing the drain ditch to the river, fell into the water and disappeared. His body was found in Kalush, in the Mlynivka River.
Earlier the Head of State had a conversation with the heads of the regions affected by the flood: Acting Head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Yaroslav Galas, Head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Oleh Honcharuk and Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechotkin.
