During his working visit to the Zakarpattia region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy checked the course of the tactical training of the company-tactical groups of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade.
In the training area, airborne assault units, with the support of the Air Force and the Army Air Forces, worked out the blocking and destruction of the objects of the enemy, disembarking from helicopters. With the support of regular armored vehicles BTR-80, the airborne assault units advanced to the point of transitioning to attack and captured the "enemy" stronghold.
During one of the stages of the training, the replenishment of material and technical means of units operating in isolation from the main forces was worked out. Delivery of cargoes was carried out with the help of the latest guided precision landing systems. The airborne insert took place from An-26 military transport aircraft.
The President was shown the latest and modernized samples of small arms and ammunition of the Ukrainian airborne assault troops and other units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
