President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited an underground frontline surgical unit where medics provide urgent care to wounded warriors brought directly from the battlefield, having already saved more than 1,000 Ukrainian warriors' lives.
The underground hospital is capable of treating up to 200 patients daily and is equipped with a full range of modern medical equipment as well as everything needed for the medics’ accommodation. Covering an area of 500 square meters, the facility not only stabilizes the condition of wounded warriors but also enables up to four surgeries to be performed simultaneously.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy toured the surgical and intensive care modules, inspected the equipment, and reviewed the working and living conditions for the medical staff.
The President expressed gratitude to the military medics for their service and for saving the lives of Ukraine’s defenders. He also presented them with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III class and Orders of Danylo Halytskyi.
