Volodymyr Zelenskyy: It is important for the action plan on achieving peace in Donbas to be considered by the advisors to the Normandy Four

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasizes that the action plan on the implementation of the agreements reached in the Normandy and Minsk formats should be considered by the advisors to the leaders of the Normandy Four at a meeting on November 13.

"The action plan has been presented. We also handed it over to the OSCE, as promised. We are going only in the framework of the Minsk format, however a detailed action plan must be written out," the Head of State said during a conversation with media representatives within a working trip to the Luhansk region.

According to the President, a large group of experts worked on the provisions of this plan.

"This action plan is clear, detailed, with steps, with dates, with responsibility. It will be considered at a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group, but it is important for this action plan to be also considered by the advisors to the Normandy Four on November 13,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.

When asked whether the Russian party would agree to implement Ukraine's proposed action plan, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said: "It is difficult for me to say whether Russia will agree. From the point of view of their official position, they say that they support any steps towards a peaceful settlement of the conflict, and this action plan is aimed at just that. That's why I don't see why we should give it up".

At the same time, the President stressed that it is important for Ukraine to enjoy the support of the Normandy Four.

“It seems to me that the four countries should understand that we have Normandy, we have Minsk, and we need to move forward. Without this, we will never achieve the desired peace in Donbas, which all Ukrainians dream of," the President summed up.
