During an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited several symbolic places that are important for this country.

In particular, the Head of State and his wife Olena visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. They honored the memory of the first President and founder of the UAE Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan at his burial place near the mosque. After that, the President of Ukraine and the First Lady got themselves acquainted with the mosque and left a note in the Book of Honorary Guests.

Then the Head of State arrived at Wahat Al Karama, took part in a wreath-laying ceremony and honored the memory of the victims with a moment of silence.

"Ukraine understands very well what it means to defend one's state and give one's life - the most precious thing - for it. We understand that this is an extremely important and sensitive issue for the United Arab Emirates as well,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

In addition, the President of Ukraine and his wife visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi and got themselves acquainted with its exposition.
