During a working visit to the JFO area, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak visited the memorial to the deceased passengers of Zlatoustivka - Donetsk bus. This bus was shelled from BM-21 Grad on January 13, 2015 by the militants. As a result of the tragedy, 12 passengers were killed and another 19 were wounded. The President paid tribute to the victims and laid flowers to the memorial.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy laid flowers to the memorial sign to the Hero of Ukraine, Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Zhuk – commander of the 3rd battalion of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade.
Andriy Zhuk heroically died in the Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region in May 2016, protecting his brothers-in-arms from a hostile subversive group that invaded the territory controlled by the Ukrainian military.
