On the Day of Dignity and Freedom, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged citizens to unite to build a new Ukraine together.
“The Day of Dignity and Freedom is special for each of us. It is related to the beginning of two revolutions, when the voices of millions of citizens merged into a single voice of the nation to say firmly: Ukrainians want and will live in a free, democratic and prosperous state. Dignity and freedom are essential components of our DNA. That is why Ukrainians truly know how to defend their dignity and fight for freedom on barricades. Unfortunately, in this fight, we paid the highest possible price - human life," the President of Ukraine said during the events on the Day of Dignity and Freedom in Kyiv.
The Head of State emphasized that the Museum of the Revolution of Dignity would be built at the alley of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
"This is very important," he said.
The President also noted that Ukrainians had always shown incredible cohesion and unity at difficult times.
"We stand for each other, regardless of age, gender, language or religion. And today, as never before, we need the same unity for the sake of protecting the country, for the sake of our independence, freedom and right to choose our own future, the future of the country we are about to bequeath to our children. All this should unite us,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
The Head of State together with his wife Olena and Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk examined the M3: Maidan. Memorial. Museum exhibition and a map projection of the main places where the events of the Revolution of Dignity happened.
"Free to create the future" video was also shown to the participants of the memorial event.
