Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Ukraine and Canada will work on extending the bilateral free trade agreement to the sphere of services and investments

Ukraine is interested in strengthening trade, economic and investment cooperation with Canada. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint briefing with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau on July 2 in Toronto.

"Trade-economic and investment cooperation has an important place in Ukrainian-Canadian relations. And we would like to strengthen it. Therefore, our countries will work on extending the bilateral free trade agreement to the sphere of services and investments," the Head of State said.

He also noted that he and his team were working to ensure comfortable conditions for doing business in Ukraine.

"I sincerely welcome the investments of Canadian companies, such as Brookfield, TIU, Black Iron, Vermilion in our country. Yesterday, the Ukrainian company together with Canadian "Vermilion Energy" won the right to oil and gas fields," the Head of State informed.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked the Canadian party for the excellent organization of the Ukraine Reform Conference, which started on July 2.

"I believe that this forum will become an effective platform, as our ambitious plans need broad support from international donors," the President said.

In addition, he stressed that Ukraine would study the experience of Canada in building a fair, happy and successful country.
