During a working visit to the Republic of Lithuania, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of the European Council Charles Michel.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed the priorities of bilateral cooperation in the context of preparations for the 23rd Ukraine-EU Summit to be held in Kyiv on October 12, 2021.
The President of Ukraine thanked the Council of the European Union for approving the draft Common Aviation Area Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and expressed hope that this Agreement would be signed and applied in the near future.
The interlocutors paid special attention to the Associated Trio initiative launched by Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Charles Michel for his readiness to promote the realization of the potential of cooperation between the EU and the countries that have concluded the association agreements.
The President of Ukraine and the President of the European Council agreed on a schedule of further contacts until the end of this year.
