During a working trip to the Dnipropetrovsk region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy watched the expositions of the museum "Civil Feat of the Dnipropetrovsk Region in the Events of ATO/JFO" in the city of Dnipro.
The museum was established on the initiative of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Association of ATO Participants with the support of the regional state administration.
The President got himself acquainted with the museum exposition located in three halls. The first hall presents the belongings of ATO participants, volunteers, medics, chaplains, military correspondents, as well as ammunition, awards, tools, children's drawings and clothes. The exposition is located on metal structures, symbolizing the Donetsk airport destroyed as a result of the hostilities. In the second hall there are more than 500 photo portraits of deceased Ukrainian servicemen who were born and lived in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The third one is a multimedia hall. It shows documentaries about the war in eastern Ukraine. The films are broadcast on four walls of the cinema hall at once.
The President also watched the street exhibition of the museum called "The Paths of Donbas", which includes about 400 exhibits. In particular, it is military equipment and checkpoint constructions.
"The museum's exhibits are very touching. You look at them with respect and honor, but it's dreadful that these people are dead. Although you understand that it is not scary to live in Ukraine, which has sons and daughters who defend the homeland," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
