President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with President of France Emmanuel Macron to coordinate steps for a just end to the war.
The Ukrainian leader informed his counterpart about today's meeting with U.S. Vice President JD Vance and a recent call with President Donald Trump, as well as the latest contacts with European leaders.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Emmanuel Macron discussed the development of an effective strategy for Ukraine, the United States and Europe to bring a just peace closer. The President of Ukraine stressed the importance of Europe's presence at the negotiating table.
Particular emphasis was placed on security guarantees and France's proposals. The leaders agreed to continue coordination with other allies in Europe to develop a shared vision. All of Europe’s future security depends on unity today.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked France for its efforts to ensure a just end to the war and its commitment to the principle of “nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.”
