President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated his Israeli counterpart on taking office and wished him success in his public duties. The President of Ukraine praised the dynamics of Ukrainian-Israeli relations and expressed confidence in their further development.
"Ukraine and Israel have always been and will remain reliable friends and partners. I am convinced that cooperation with the new President and the new Government of Israel will be fruitful, and our countries will continue to deepen mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation," said the President of Ukraine.
In this context, the interlocutors discussed plans for mutual and simultaneous opening of high-tech development centers with the involvement of talented scientists and IT specialists in Kyiv and Jerusalem.
Separately, the presidents discussed the 80th anniversary of the mass shootings in Babyn Yar and the development of the Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve. Isaac Herzog stressed the importance of implementing this project for future generations. "The memory of the Babyn Yar tragedy will teach the younger generation what cruelty can lead to," he said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Isaac Herzog to pay a visit to Ukraine. "I look forward to our personal meeting in Kyiv in the near future. I am convinced that by joint efforts we would deepen the partnership between Ukraine and Israel," the President of Ukraine said.
