President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte. The conversation was also joined by: Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Wopke Hoekstra, Dutch Minister of Defense Kajsa Ollongren and Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Liesje Schreinemacher.
The Head of State thanked for the constant and significant support that the Netherlands provides to Ukraine in countering the aggression of the Russian Federation.
"The help of the Netherlands is very important for Ukraine. It strengthens our defense capability and resilience," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President praised the decision of the Dutch government to provide Ukraine with a new aid package in the amount of 2.5 billion euros in 2023, which, among other things, will be aimed at support in the security and humanitarian spheres, as well as at the restoration of critical infrastructure.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mark Rutte exchanged views on further steps in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula. The Head of State emphasized that the first and key practical step on the way to its implementation will be the holding of a global peace summit.
"I propose to unite the efforts of our teams to make the peace formula a reality," the Head of State noted.
The President thanked for the active position of the Netherlands in the issue of restoration of justice regarding the crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine.
"We appreciate the recent resolution of the Dutch Parliament regarding the leadership role of the Netherlands in the task of restoring justice," he emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy separately informed Mark Rutte about the key results of his visit to the USA.
The interlocutors coordinated steps for the next year to repel the aggressor and achieve victory for Ukraine.
The President paid special attention to the priority needs of our country for Ukrainian defenders to achieve strategic goals on the battlefield.
The Head of State also informed about the consequences of the latest Russian attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine. He thanked the Netherlands for prompt assistance with high-voltage transformers and other equipment to restore critical infrastructure.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted the extreme importance of further assistance from partners to stabilize the work of the Ukrainian energy system and get through the winter period.
