President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with President of Argentina Javier Milei.
The Ukrainian President expressed his condolences to Javier Milei and the people of Argentina over the flooding that claimed 16 lives and left thousands of families homeless. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine stands ready to help Argentina in protecting lives and providing any necessary assistance.
The President thanked Argentina for its support of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people and briefed Javier Milei on joint efforts with partners to achieve a just and lasting peace.
In particular, he shared the details of the March 11 meeting between Ukrainian and American teams in Jeddah, where Ukraine supported the U.S. proposal for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire. However, Russia is now setting conditions and, in fact, rejecting this proposal. Ukraine is counting on Javier Milei’s voice to help bring peace closer.
The leaders of Ukraine and Argentina also discussed the development of bilateral relations, particularly trade and economic cooperation.
