President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

The President informed the Prime Minister of Poland about his recent conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Tusk discussed the key messages and the need to coordinate the positions of all Europeans to secure successful outcomes for the whole of Europe, as well as to form a unified position of Ukraine, Europe and the United States before any negotiations with the Russian dictator.

Both leaders share the view that achieving a just and lasting peace is only possible through the unity of all allies.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine must enter negotiations from a position of strength, with strong and reliable security guarantees as a key factor. The most cost-effective of these guarantees, he noted, would be Ukraine’s membership in NATO. Another critical security guarantee, according to the President, is significant investment in Ukraine’s defense industry.

The President also underscored that Vladimir Putin has repeatedly lied to the world and initiated wars, meaning his words cannot be trusted. Instead, the international community must apply collective pressure to make peace a reality.
