President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held phone conversations with the Presidents of South Africa, Finland, and France, as well as the Prime Ministers of Denmark, Canada, and Norway, expressing his gratitude for their support.
During his discussion with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the continued supply of weapons and ammunition, as well as investments in domestic missile and drone production. He acknowledged Denmark's contribution to Ukraine's and Europe's security.
In his call with President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine seeks to achieve a just and lasting peace this year and is counting on South Africa’s voice in this effort. He also thanked South Africa for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Security guarantees, weapons and ammunition supplies, as well as investments in the domestic defense industry were key topics in the conversation with Finnish President Alexander Stubb. The leaders have a common vision that Ukraine, America, and Europe should act together and be represented at the negotiating table together.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau discussed the continuation of military aid, energy cooperation, sanctions against Russia’s shadow fleet and energy sector, as well as the use of frozen Russian assets. The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine appreciates Canada's presidency in the G7 this year and counts on the country's leadership.
Bilateral relations and a shared vision for strong security guarantees were the central themes of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. Ukraine appreciates Norway's willingness to contribute to energy security.
During the conversation, the Presidents of Ukraine and France shared details of their contacts with other world leaders and coordinated positions, joint plans and next steps. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Emmanuel Macron also discussed in detail the views on security guarantees. The goal of both states is a just and lasting peace that is totally achievable. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the future security architecture must be strong enough to ensure that Russia can never again attack anyone.
