During a working trip to the Kherson region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a coordination meeting on the current security situation and the state of elimination of the consequences of damage to critical infrastructure facilities in the region.
The Head of State listened to the report of the military command on the operational situation in the area of responsibility.

Particular attention was paid to the restoration of power grids in the Kherson region and the provision of repair crews with the necessary materials.
The President also presented state awards to Ukrainian servicemen who participated in the defense of the Kherson region from the enemy. The Head of State awarded the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and "For Courage" of the III degree and medals "For Military Service to Ukraine".

I want to thank you and all your brothers-in-arms who are with us today and who, unfortunately, are not. They are in the heart, in memory, in history," said the Head of State.
The military presented a souvenir to the President - a watch with the image of the State Coat of Arms of Ukraine and a map of Crimea, which was made from part of the barrel of a damaged enemy cannon.
