President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the Jewish community of Ukraine on Rosh Hashanah.

"Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the New Year 5781. For you, these days are always a time to think about life, introspection and spiritual adjustment for the coming year. We hope that it will be easier for all of us than the past year," the Head of State said.

The President noted that in order to preserve the lives and health of people, which is of the highest value, the Ukrainian authorities were forced to limit mass events in the country, including part of the traditional celebration of this holiday in Uman.

"But in Kyiv, Dnipro, Uman, Jerusalem, New York and elsewhere on the planet, the Jewish people are praying for peace and prosperity for all mankind. We thank everyone for understanding and cooperation on important human security issues. We believe that together we will definitely be able to overcome all the challenges we face and return to the usual rhythm of life next year," Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

"I wish each of you a happy and sweet New Year," the President said.
