President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Maia Sandu on winning the presidential elections in Moldova.
The Head of State wished Ms. Sandu success in her work.
He assured his colleague of the commitment to continue close and mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova established, among other things, during Maia Sandu's visit to Kyiv as Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova in July 2019.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is ready to implement new ambitious projects, primarily infrastructure ones and those aimed at promoting the European integration of the two countries.
The President thanked Maia Sandu for her consistent support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The interlocutors also discussed the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic and expressed hope that humanity will be able to cope with it in the short term, and our countries - with its tangible consequences, especially economic ones.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Maia Sandu to pay an official visit to Ukraine.
