During a working trip to the Poltava region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy got himself acquainted with the course of renovation of the surgical department of N.V. Sklifosovsky Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital of the Poltava Regional Council.
The Head of State said he wanted to see with his own eyes changes in the healthcare institutions of Ukraine in the framework of the medical reform.
“It seems to me that everything looks very good - reconstruction of departments, modern equipment, satisfied doctors, very satisfied management of the hospital, and most importantly - satisfied people, patients. The Poltava region is a pilot example of the medical reform,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said while talking to the media, staff and local residents after visiting the medical institution.
He is convinced that it is very important to communicate the implementation of the medical reform and show what is happening by examples.
"Some people do not really see examples and do not understand what is happening, how medicine changes, how quality changes," the Head of State added, noting that patients and doctors should be brought to such hospitals to make sure they see it themselves.
