President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree declaring January 9 the day of mourning due to the tragedy that took place on January 8 as a result of the Ukraine International Airlines passenger plane crash in Tehran (Iran).
The Head of State signed the relevant decree following the working meeting on the issues related to the crash.
In order to honor the memory of the dead, the President commissioned to fly the national flags of Ukraine on buildings of state authorities, local self-government, state-owned enterprises, institutions and organizations at half mast.
The document also abolishes entertainment and concert activities. Changes are made to television and radio programs.
It bears reminding that there were 11 Ukrainian (2 passengers and 9 crew members), 63 Canadian, 82 Iranian, 3 German, 10 Swedish, 4 Afghan and 3 British citizens on board of PS 752 flight of Ukraine International Airlines, which crashed near Tehran airport.
