Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of North Macedonia discuss deepening of cooperation between two countries

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with President of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski.

The head of the Ukrainian state warmly congratulated his counterpart on the 30th anniversary of the independence of North Macedonia, which this country is celebrating today.

Zelenskyy thanked the official Skopje for the strong support of the sovereignty and independence of our state. He highly appreciated the participation of North Macedonia in the inaugural summit of the Crimea Platform held on August 23, 2021 in Kyiv, as well as joining the final declaration of the summit.

The presidents commended the growth of bilateral trade and economic partnership despite the challenges of COVID-19 and the mutual commitment to maintaining this pace.

Zelenskyy also emphasized the importance of the exchange of experience between Ukraine and North Macedonia regarding deepening cooperation with NATO.

The two presidents agreed to continue high-level contacts in the near future.
