President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with the Amir of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for the important mediation role of Qatar and personal position of the Sheikh in the return of Ukrainian children illegally deported by Russia. The parties discussed further coordination in this direction.
The President of Ukraine praised Qatar's contribution of $20 million to the humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine and assured that Ukraine would continue to be a guarantor of global food security despite Russia's attempts to disrupt peaceful navigation in the Black Sea.
The interlocutors discussed in detail further implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and the organization of the upcoming Global Peace Summit. Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited the Qatari representative to the next meeting of advisors in Davos.
