Volodymyr Zelenskyy Discussed Humanitarian Cooperation and Prospects for Joint Projects with the New President of Slovakia

On the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Washington, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the new President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini.

The leaders condemned the large-scale shelling of Ukrainian cities by the Russian Federation, which, among other things, caused damage to the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv. The Presidents discussed the possibility of treating some of its patients in Slovakia.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the fight against Russian air terror and stressed the need for additional air defense systems.

During the meeting, the leaders also praised the results of the joint intergovernmental meeting held in Bratislava in April; they also discussed humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and prospects for joint projects in the energy sector and border infrastructure.

The Head of State thanked Slovakia for supporting Ukraine's future accession to the EU.
